This project features a complete 2.7L engine build to RS spec with KMS engine management system, individual throttle bodies with our own designed and fabricated throttle linkage, crank fire ignition and custom ground camshafts. The case was updated, we balanced the pistons and connecting rods and installed ARP head studs and rod bolts.
We then ran the engine in and mapped the fuel, ignition, and cold start systems on our dyno. It now makes 234 horsepower and 208 foot pounds of torque. That’s 69 hp and 35 ft lbs torque more than when this engine was stock.
The end result is a very smooth, reliable street/track engine that is a turn key system. KMS has great cold start, throttle response, RPM pick up and works great with todays ever increasing ethanol fuels.
