1970 Porsche 914-6 with 53,700 miles in Canary Yellow (2910) with black leatherette interior (11). Original engine, transmission and 70% original paint, including both front and rear valances and rocker covers. Owned by Mark Burkit of Specialty Cars; this is his own personal car. This California car is an exceptional original example of a Porsche 914-6. Very clean and well maintained car.
Recorded history dates back to the second owner who purchased the car in March of 1978 in Glendale, California. He worked for Vasek Polak Porsche at the time. He had owned several Porsches, but noted that this 914-6 was his favorite. He showed his admiration for the car by having California vanity plates made, displaying “10ACITY”, as in “tenacity”; see original scanned photos in gallery. In August of 2007, the car was sold to the third owner who was a client of Specialty Cars in Allentown, PA. In November of 2012, Specialty Cars sold the car to the fourth owner, who was also a client of theirs. Ten years later, in 2022, the car was again offered for sale through Specialty Cars. In October of 2022, the car was purchase by the owner of Specialty Cars, Mark Burkit, for his own personal car. During his ownership, Mark has driven and enjoyed the car, as well as brought it up to service to preserve the car and keep it reliable and performing as it should.
The car has been well cared for and garage kept throughout it’s life. Interior is very clean with minimal wear. The exterior paint is 70% original, shows normal wear and is in overall nice condition. Car comes with factory tool kit, owners manual and binder of service records.
