1971 914-6 Preservation and Mechanical Restoration

This Willow Green 1971 914-6 was bought new at Holbert’s Porsche by Grant Wolfkill, a factory Porsche driver in the 50’s and 60’s. In the late 70’s, Grant had Holbert’s install a 1974 2.7L 911S engine (he also kept the original 2.0L engine), as well as chassis stiffening and 15×6” wheels, to make the car more up to his standards. After sitting for 15 years, the car was brought to us.

After evaluating the car, it underwent a complete preservation and mechanical restoration, with careful attention to preserving its originality and the tasteful modifications from the time. We fully rebuilt the suspension, brake system, fuel system and completely went through the electrical system, to make this car a great reliable driver once again. We built the 2.7L engine to Carrera RS specification and added KMS engine management and individual throttle bodies. We also rebuilt the transmission.
