1986 911 Carrera Preservation

This 1986 Carrera came to us after it was purchased from the original owner. With only 32,000 miles, this car did not see a lot of use or maintenance over its life. The new owner’s goal with the car was to preserve it as original and enjoy driving it.

We first fully evaluated the car. This evaluation helps us to determine where the car stands, the condition it is currently in and the extent of repair needed. After going through our full evaluation, some of the most impressive notes on the car were that it still had the original air filter, fuel filter, ignition cap and rotor, and that the gear oil drain plug had never been removed. It also had some battery acid over flow in the trunk and the 80’s aftermarket electrical components. Below you can see photos of the work that was carried out to preserve this car’s originality and keep it safe, reliable and preforming at its best.

From this point forward, we’ve keep an active service history log on the car. This way as time and miles go by, we are actively aware of what service is coming up at a glance, as is the owner.
